Konami Gaming has revealed a new expansion of its biometric player tracking technology at this year’s G2E Asia event. The company unveiled SYNK Vision Tables, a system that extends its facial recognition capabilities from slot machines to table games, marking a significant step forward in integrated casino management.
Biometric Tracking Extends to Table Games
Building on the success of its earlier facial recognition deployments for loyalty programs, Konami’s new SYNK Vision Tables enable seamless player identification and tracking across both electronic and live gaming environments. By linking biometric recognition to both slot and table games, the technology aims to eliminate the need for physical player cards while improving operational efficiency and security.
The system is designed to identify players using facial recognition and associate them with their loyalty accounts in real time, even as they move between different types of games on the casino floor. This unification allows for consistent tracking of player activity, loyalty program participation, and responsible gaming behaviors, key features in modern casino operations.
Part of the SYNKROS Platform
SYNK Vision Tables are integrated into Konami’s broader SYNKROS casino management platform, which has earned industry recognition for its innovative use of technology. SYNKROS provides operators with real-time data, analytics, and tools for managing player engagement and floor operations. By embedding biometric capabilities within this platform, Konami is offering a more robust solution for customer service, marketing, and regulatory compliance.
The launch of SYNK Vision Tables reflects a broader trend in the gaming industry, where manufacturers are increasingly turning to biometric technologies to improve player engagement and streamline operations. In 2020, Scientific Games was recognized for its SG Vision solution, highlighting the industry’s growing interest in biometric-enabled innovations.
While Konami has not announced a commercial rollout timeline, SYNK Vision Tables are currently being demonstrated at G2E Asia, where industry attendees can view the system in action and evaluate its capabilities firsthand.
