Digital banking solutions provider Worldcore has integrated facial biometrics security into its platform. Called FaceKey, the system allows users to authenticate for online services via facial recognition.
The technology comes by way of BioID, which launched its mobile facial recognition solution toward the end of 2015. In a statement announcing the new integration, Worldcore CEO Alex Nasonov suggested BioID’s technology offers “a simple, intuitive experience for online financial services”.
It isn’t the first time Worldcore has turned to biometrics for customer authentication, with the company’s platform having employed voice recognition from the outset. Now, the BioID integration adds an extra layer of security as Worldcore launches a new mobile money transfer solution.
The companies unveiled the integration at last week’s FinovateEurope 2017 event in London.
