Biometrics-as-a-service platform Wink and identity verification provider Vouched have announced a strategic integration that embeds multi-modal biometric authentication into AI agent workflows, creating a verifiable chain of human consent for autonomous transactions.
The integration brings Wink’s proof-of-personhood technology into Vouched’s Know Your Agent (KYA) workflow. When a user creates or activates an AI agent inside Vouched’s platform, Wink’s system confirms the identity and intent of the authorizing human using face, palm, and voice biometrics with real-time liveness detection. The biometric check happens at the moment of agent activation, tying the agent’s operational permissions to a confirmed human identity.
The companies say the partnership addresses a structural gap in how AI agents are authenticated. Traditional methods such as one-time passwords, passkeys, and hardware tokens confirm that a credential was used but cannot confirm that a living, consenting human authorized the action. That gap creates exposure to agent hijacking, unauthorized transactions, and prompt injection attacks, where a malicious instruction causes an agent to act outside the boundaries its human operator intended.
At the moment of authorization, Wink’s platform queries the user’s biometric profile to retrieve bound credentials. These can include payment tokens scoped to a specific merchant and transaction amount, government-verified identity data, and loyalty or insurance records. By scoping payment tokens to specific merchants and amounts, the system limits the potential damage from any unauthorized agent action, even if an agent’s session is compromised after the initial authorization.
The integration is designed for the emerging category of agentic commerce, where AI systems browse, purchase, and transact on behalf of users with limited real-time human oversight. Providing biometric proof at the point of agent creation establishes an accountable record of who authorized the agent to act and under what conditions.
The broader challenge of securing non-human identities has drawn significant industry attention. World ID has launched an agent kit linking iris-verified identity to AI agents, and authID has partnered to bind biometric identity and AI governance to financial crime intelligence, reflecting a growing push to keep verified human identity at the center of autonomous system design.
Wink is based in Plano, Texas, and operates an open payments platform. Vouched specializes in digital identity verification and KYA infrastructure.
