VSBLTY and 911inform have teamed up to create a new situational awareness platform for first responders. The two companies’ Total Security Platform combines VSBLTY’s Vector computer vision software with 911inform’s emergency response portfolio.
In practice, the Total Security Platform essentially gives first responders access to a venue’s security camera footage. Companies can integrate the solution into their existing surveillance setup, and Vector will analyze those video feeds to watch for threats and items of interest. Vector has facial recognition, license plate recognition, and weapon detection capabilities, and can also monitor idling cars and other objects that seem out of place.
When it spots something suspicious, the system can notify security personnel, who can in turn pass the information on to law enforcement, medical professionals, and other first responders, depending on the situation. In doing so, it gives those first responders a better sense of what is happening onsite, and gives them the ability to respond in a more effective fashion.
911inform, meanwhile, allows an organization to automate some of its response procedures. For example, the system can be configured to lock doors or activate strobe lights if it sees a potential threat, or to give the police temporary access to a building’s security feed. The system can also be used to share a floor plan of an entire facility, or to share critical medical records of individuals who have given their consent.
“This joint effort will provide people with an added layer of safety and security while reducing the overall response time to emergencies,” said 911inform Founder and CEO Ivo Allen. “We are united in a commitment to empower safer, stronger communities with intelligent, data-driven response virtually anywhere.”
911inform and VSBLTY have already tested and deployed the Total Security Platform for several US clients, though they believe that the solution will find an audience in other jurisdictions. VSBLTY has also formed a similar emergency awareness partnership with RapidSOS. The company itself was listed on the OTCQB Venture Market in August of 2021.
