Support for CyberExtruder’s Aureus 3Dv facial recognition system has been integrated into the ConvergenceTP’s video management system integration platform.
The move means that Aureus 3Dv can now easily be implemented into VMS platforms from IPVideo, Milestone, Mirasys, OnSSI, and Vicon Security. The same goes for access control platforms from Axis, DMP, DSX, Isonas, Keri Systems, RBH Access, and also ZKAccess, a platform that already supports biometric access control via fingerprint and facial recognition. POS products from Agilsys, IBM, NCR Radiant, Oracle Micros, and POSitouch are also now ready for easy Aureus 3Dv support thanks to the ConvergenceTP VMS Integration Platform.
In a statement announcing the integration, CyberExtruder CEO Paul Nicholas called it “a force multiplier” since it provides his platform “direct access to to numerous end-users of some of the most tried and true platforms in the monitoring, security and point of sale analytics markets.”
The integration arrives at a time of growing excitement over facial recognition with the revelation of Apple’s Face ID authentication system for the iPhone X. That system’s announcement already seems to be having a substantial impact on the mobile industry, and that excitement could well carry over into the enterprise sector as awareness of the need for sophisticated digital security technologies continues to rise.
