Vivotek has launched the RealSight Engine, a new feature designed to improve the clarity of images captured by its AI network cameras under various lighting conditions.
The RealSight Engine enhances facial images in challenging environments such as backlighting, low-light areas, and overexposed settings. The feature works automatically upon installation, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
Some of the enhancements the RealSight Engine performs include the reduction of image blur caused by movement, and ensuring facial details are clear, even in low-light or backlit conditions. It also maintains accurate color representation, reducing the need for white balance adjustments.
“Combined with Smart VCA to improve alarm accuracy and the Deep Search feature for quick searches, our solutions enhance the depth and breadth of image recognition, search, and event detection,” said Louis Liao, Vivotek’s Director of Product Planning. “With the addition of [the] RealSight Engine feature, we further improve images clarity in various scenarios, ensuring key images are accurately captured, providing clients with crucial evidence.”
Smart VCA (Video Content Analysis) refers to a feature that enhances the accuracy of security monitoring by analyzing video content to identify specific objects and events. It helps in detecting people, vehicles, movements, and other features within a scene, improving the precision of alarms and reducing false positives. Smart VCA is designed to enhance real-time event detection and streamline security operations by providing more accurate and reliable video analysis.
The new feature is integrated into selected Vivotek AI cameras and is available for download for eligible models. Vivotek plans to expand the RealSight Engine to more products in the future.
