Passenger Terminal Expo 2016 is happening in Cologne next week, and Vision-Box is planning a strong showing with its automated passenger flow system.
Vision-Box has already seen acclaim for its high-profile border control deployment: Aruba’s Happy Flow project at the Queen Beatrix Airport. That program saw the use of biometric authentication to automate the airport’s passenger security screening process while ensuring the rest of the passenger’s experience was, as much as possible, self-service and digital in nature. It dramatically reduced passenger processing times, and the airport recently moved to expand the program.
Now, Vision-Box is unveiling orchestra, the platform behind Happy Flow that enables what the company calls”an end-to-end self-service passenger experience”. It uses a single, biometric authentication token, assigned to each passenger via a Passenger Data Envelope, that allows passengers to essentially process themselves through check-in and check-out while ensuring that airport authorities have all the intelligence they need for security and administrative purposes.
As airports around the world increasingly adopt digital and biometric passenger screening technologies, orchestra could prove a hit at this year’s Passenger Terminal Expo, especially as Vision-Box promotes it alongside James Fazio, the CEO of Aruba Airport Authority.
