As next week’s connect:ID conference approaches, Vision-Box is taking aim at the government sector with its new Orchestra solution.
Orchestra was unveiled earlier this week as the platform that formed the basis for Happy Flow, an automated passenger screening project at Aruba’s Queen Beatrix Airport. Using biometric identification in a highly automated passenger processing system, Happy Flow saw substantially reduced processing times, leading to administrative savings for the airport and, presumably, happier travelers.
Now, Vision-Box is highlighting the security and border control applications of its platform. The company’s technology has been used in high-profile projects including the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency’s trials of biometric border screening at the JFK International Airport, and the Otay Mesa land border in San Diego; and now, with its technology integrated into the comprehensive Orchestra platform, Vision-Box is preparing to show it off to more potential clients in the government and security sectors. In a press release, Vision-Box North America Managing Director Dr. Michael Petrov suggested that the long-term aim here is to move “towards an integrated Biometric Entry/Exit system consistently implemented across all air, land and sea borders.”
Vision-Box will present the Orchestra solution at booth #300 during next week’s expo in Washington.
