Viscount Systems announced today that it has signed multiple contracts to deploy its various access control technologies, namely Freedom, Liberty and MESH, to up to 400 facilities in a major Canadian municipality. The agreements span several years, and according to Viscount will be worth approximately $2 million if they are completed in full.
This is not the first success Viscount has seen in Canada. Earlier this month, the company received the largest order in its history: $500,000 worth of MESH touch screen intercom systems to be installed in Canadian high rise buildings.
The new municipal orders, according to Viscount CEO Stephen Pineau, benefited from the performance of an initial order which prompted the Canadian customer to expand the order.
“Our unique ability to wrap intercom systems and access control management in a single software platform helped drive these sales.” Said Pineau. “With Freedom we continue to move from single site projects to Enterprise wide systems and this will continue to drive revenue for the coming years.”
