ViewSonic has released a new electronic signature solution that utilizes behavioral biometrics to ensure the validity of each signature. The comprehensive Electronic Signature & Agreement Solutions (E-SAS) platform blends Namirial’s digital transaction software with eSignature hardware from ViewSonic.
The E-SAS platform can be configured to meet the unique legal and regulatory requirements of industries, including finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. Meanwhile, ViewSonic’s capture hardware is able to determine how much time and pressure someone uses when writing a signature (amongst other metrics), which allows the system to verify the identities of signees based on biometric factors that go well beyond the shape of the signature itself.
“We have seen an enormous demand in industries looking to migrate core business processes from paper to digital in all of their channels,” said ViewSonic Strategic Partnerships Director Kevin Chu, Director. “ViewSonic E-SAS helps companies accelerate their onboarding and contracting processes, reduce signature acquisition cost, improve conversion rate, and significantly enhance customer satisfaction.”
The ViewSonic hardware can be fully deployed on-premises. However, the integration of Namirial’s software allows the company to extend coverage to remote and digital channels. The solution is compatible with a range of different devices.
For the moment, the ViewSonic E-SAS platform is only available to customers in Canada and the United States. ViewSonic became a member of the Electronic Signature and Records Association (ESRA) back in 2015.
Of course, ViewSonic is not the only company working to make digital signatures more secure. ShoCard recently unveiled a digital document signing service that links someone’s blockchain ID to the document being signed, while Adobe now supports HID Global’s IdenTrust digital certificates. OneSpan has also developed a Secure Agreement Automation platform that automates the entire onboarding process for financial institutions. The Secure Agreement Automation solution provides eSignature services in addition to multi-factor biometric authentication.
