Signicat has integrated Verimi’s identification platform into its Digital Identity Hub to provide European enterprises with a verified digital identity solution. Based in Norway, Signicat offers an identity management platform that makes it easier to onboard customers and track digital identities across multiple channels, while the German Verimi is a device-based platform that provides a second layer of authentication, with support for biometric options like Touch ID.
Thanks to the new partnership, clients will be able to use Verimi’s authentication services to enroll with Signicat, making the digital onboarding process easier and more secure. It will also ensure compliance with current regulatory standards and streamline operations across Europe.
“Germany is rapidly becoming a digital-first nation and our partnership with Verimi means we can offer our international clients an excellent identity verification and authentication method to attract and retain new customers,” said Signicat CEO Gunnar Nordseth. “Verimi’s exciting offering is opening new doors for us in Germany and we look forward to working together with them.”
“Signicat is the ideal partner for Verimi to attract even more new clients in Europe,” added Verimi Spokesman Roland Adrian.
The partnership will give Signicat a better foothold in Germany, building on its previous efforts to expand in the European market such as last year’s integration of Itsme. Meanwhile, Verimi will gain access to Signicat’s network of international partners.
More recent iPhones have prioritized Face ID rather than Touch ID, but Apple may not quite be ready to fully abandon the technology. It recently added fingerprint utility to the MacBook Air, while companies like Verimi and WhatsApp are still finding value in the system.
