Veriff has launched an AI-powered Proof of Address (PoA) solution aimed at improving how regulated industries verify user addresses for Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance.
AI-Driven Address Verification with Global Scope
The new PoA platform uses artificial intelligence to extract and validate address information from commonly accepted documents such as utility bills, bank statements, and government correspondence. The system is designed to reduce manual review times, minimize human error, and accelerate user onboarding processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Veriff’s solution includes enhanced fraud detection capabilities, enabling it to identify forged or manipulated documents. The platform also offers global document coverage, allowing companies to verify user addresses across jurisdictions. This feature supports industries operating internationally and aligns with ongoing EU initiatives to reduce cross-border verification costs and complexity.
According to Veriff, the PoA solution is targeted at sectors that face strict compliance obligations, including financial services, fintech, and online marketplaces. It builds on Veriff’s existing expertise in identity verification, following prior upgrades to the company’s biometric authentication tools aimed at preventing account takeover fraud.
Strategic Growth and Platform Expansion
The launch comes as Veriff continues to grow its global footprint. In Q4 2024, the company reported a 75 percent year-over-year revenue increase, with more recent statements citing growth above 80 percent. In April of this year, Veriff also announced the appointment of former Twilio CTO Ott Kaukver to its board of directors, bringing additional technical leadership to its expansion strategy.
The new PoA product complements Veriff’s broader verification ecosystem, which includes document authentication, biometric analysis, and fraud prevention systems. These offerings are designed to support onboarding and compliance in high-risk environments where verifying user identity and residence is essential.
