Veridium Names New Chief Operating Officer

Identity and access management software provider Veridium has announced the hiring of identity industry veteran Baber Amin as its new Chief Operating Officer.

A seasoned senior technology executive, Amir brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the identity and security spaces, as well as a history of building scalable products at both public and private companies.

“Baber’s impressive track record and industry knowledge will be an incredible asset to the Veridium leadership team,” said Ismet Geri, CEO, Veridium. “Baber’s expertise will help us accelerate our growth, expand our market penetration in North America and his amazing expertise in the Digital Identity space will be a tremendous value to our customers and partners.”

The decision to appoint a new COO comes less than a year after Veridium named cybersecurity industry veteran Ismet Geri as its CEO, a move that became official on July 1st of 2020.

Before joining Veridium, Baber held the title of CTO West and Executive Advisor at Ping Identity, where he oversaw a number of Ping’s initiatives including its efforts in OpenBanking, GDPR, Privacy and Consent. Prior to Ping, Baber was the Senior Director of product management for IDaaS at Oracle, where we worked to build out that company’s Identity as a Service strategy.
