“Veridium says its solution is based on an open standard allowing for iterative upgrades…”
Hoyos Labs has rebranded as Veridium and launched a new biometric authentication platform called VeridiumID.
The multimodal platform is aimed at the enterprise market, and enables the authentication of individuals via facial, voice, and fingerprint biometrics. Veridium says its solution is based on an open standard allowing for iterative upgrades, and that, more broadly, the company is aiming to use the strongest intellectual property areas of its Hoyos Labs portfolio to pursue certain key markets including financial services, government, and healthcare.
The company seems to have a solid foundation to build upon, having engaged with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) earlier this year to help develop contactless fingerprint scanning standards – a move that likely helped to solidify its reputation in the field, as has its appointment of a well-respected new CTO this past summer.
