Veridas, a global provider of digital identity verification, anti-fraud, and biometric solutions, has announced the strategic appointments of Marco Gouw and Arianna Valente to propel its expansion in Europe. These new hires aim to enhance the company’s service to its customers in the BENELUX region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg), DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), and in the Italian markets, where Veridas already has a significant presence.
Based in Noáin, Spain, Veridas specializes in verifying real identities in both digital and physical spaces. The company’s biometric algorithms are designed to simplify access for legitimate users while preventing digital attacks and physical breaches. Veridas serves various sectors, including banking and mobility, by providing secure and user-friendly digital experiences.
“We’re excited to have Marco and Arianna join our team,” said Jordi Torres, Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Veridas. “Their expertise and proven track records will help us build on the successes we’ve already achieved in these key markets.”
Under Marco Gouw’s leadership, Veridas plans to build upon its momentum in the BENELUX and DACH regions. With over 20 years of experience in information and communications technology and security, Gouw will focus on leveraging existing partnerships with industry leaders like Deutsche Telekom, BBVA Switzerland, and Ventocom. He was previously Managing Director of Western Europe for Autenti, and before that served for seven years in business development roles with Signicat.
Arianna Valente, who also brings over two decades of experience, will lead operations in Italy and strengthen client relationships. Valente comes to Veridas from OneSpan, where she served as Regional Sales Manager from Bologna since 2020. Italy is a crucial market for Veridas, evidenced by successful implementations with BBVA Italy and major Italian airports.
“Our expansion into Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (BENELUX) along with Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH), and Italy, reaches new heights in our mission to redefine digital identity and build unshakable trust in the digital world,” said Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas. “Veridas delivers the scalable, high-impact solutions businesses need to protect their assets, deepen customer relationships and drive their industries forward.”
Last year, Veridas announced that it had joined the Security Industry Association (SIA), enabling other SIA members to benefit from Veridas’s expertise in facial and voice recognition, while allowing Veridas to gain access to SIA’s industry network and resources.
