Veridas, a joint venture between BBVA and das-Nano established in 2017, has launched its Identity Verification (IDV) platform on Google Cloud Marketplace, marking a significant step in the company’s mission to provide robust digital fraud protection solutions to organizations worldwide. The platform combines facial biometrics, document verification, and voice recognition technologies that have been independently tested by organizations like NIST.
The inclusion of Veridas’ IDV platform on Google Cloud Marketplace comes at a critical time as businesses face increasingly sophisticated fraud threats, including deepfakes and synthetic identity fraud. Veridas, which has completed over 100 million identity verifications for major clients like BBVA, Deutsche Telekom, and Repsol, emphasizes the importance of reliable and scalable identity verification solutions that comply with international standards like eIDAS and ETSI.
“Our IDV platform is more than just an identity verification tool: it is a comprehensive solution that protects more than 300 clients in 25 countries against advanced fraud,” stated Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas. He added that the platform’s proprietary technology and global document coverage ensure maximum security and a seamless user experience.
Google Cloud’s infrastructure plays a pivotal role in this collaboration, providing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified environments for deploying Veridas’ IDV solutions. The platform leverages Google Cloud’s robust security features and global data center network to ensure compliance with regional data protection regulations like GDPR in Europe.
“Bringing Veridas’ Identity Verification platform to Google Cloud Marketplace will help customers quickly deploy, manage, and grow the fraud protection solution on Google Cloud’s trusted, global infrastructure,” noted Dai Vu, Managing Director of Marketplace & ISV GTM Programs at Google Cloud.
The collaboration also strengthens Veridas’ ability to provide flexible support, particularly in the EMEA region, where its cloud capabilities have expanded following recent strategic executive appointments aimed at accelerating European market growth.
Veridas’ inclusion on Google Cloud Marketplace reflects its broader vision of global expansion and innovation in digital identity solutions. Since its establishment in 2017, the company has grown rapidly, serving clients across 25 countries in sectors like banking, insurance, and public administration. Its commitment to proprietary technology and compliance with international regulations has positioned it as a leader in the identity verification industry, recently demonstrated by its membership in the Open Identity Exchange and Security Industry Association.
