Veratad Technologies has launched the Veratad VX Agent Toolkit, a set of tools that let AI agents and the applications behind them confirm a real, authorized human is present before they act on a sensitive request.
As people increasingly shop, sign up, and transact through AI agents and chatbots, the company says businesses need a way to answer whether a real, verified human is behind a request and whether that person authorized it. The toolkit brings age and identity verification into the agent experience, without sending the user to a separate website or out of the conversation.
Veratad says the toolkit works three ways. Inside chatbot applications, it runs verification within the conversation, so a customer is checked without leaving the chat. For autonomous or headless agents, it exposes verification as a tool the agent can call when it needs proof that a real person authorized an action, returning a cryptographically signed result the agent can rely on. And for businesses already using the Veratad VX orchestration platform, it opens real-time access to their existing verification data. The toolkit is built on the open Model Context Protocol, which Veratad says lets it connect to leading AI environments with minimal integration work.
“Our clients have trusted Veratad for twenty years to confirm that a real human is on the other side of a transaction,” said John E. Ahrens, chief executive of Veratad Technologies. “AI agents do not change that need; they intensify it.”
The toolkit is available in early access, with connectors for AI environments, a developer kit, and a hosted server for agent integration. Veratad is aiming it at financial services, e-commerce, gaming, social networks, and age-restricted commerce, positioning it to help businesses reduce fraud and meet regulatory requirements as agent-driven commerce grows.
The launch adds to a wave of identity tooling for AI agents, after iDenfy released a Model Context Protocol server connecting its compliance tools to AI systems, and as Prove launched a Verified Agent product to bind verified identity to autonomous agents.
