“…the upgraded SecuSearch Pro solution is part of a larger push into software for SecuGen, with the company also delving into WebAPI and Citrix solutions.”
SecuGen has announced an upgraded version of its SecuSearch Pro solution that match a fingerprint against a database of up to 2 million biometric templates.
The solution, SecuSearch Pro 3, is available as a software developer kit, and offers “quick and easy integration in any fingerprint database application”, according to a statement from SecuGen. And what’s more, the system can be used for a database of up to a thousand biometric templates without the need for a licensing fee, with SecuGen offering an evaluation copy through its website.
As SecuGen Sales VP Jeff Brown explained in his recent interview with FindBiometrics, the upgraded SecuSearch Pro solution is part of a larger push into software for SecuGen, with the company also delving into WebAPI and Citrix solutions. Brown said that an Active Directory software solution in the pipeline for later this year, meanwhile, could “change the nature of SecuGen to some extent.”
For now, though, SecuSearch Pro offers a refined version of a tried and true software offering from the company, and one that could prove highly appealing to a growing market for large-scale biometric matching solutions.
