“The platform is compatible with a number of well-known access control systems, including Lenel OnGuard, Software House C•CURE 9000, and AMAG Symmetry Access Control, among others.”
EyeLock LLC has announced the latest version of its EyeLock Identity Suite (EIS) identity management software. Version 4.1 of the platform supports both physical and logical access control based on EyeLock’s iris biometrics technology.
Physical access control can be regulated via EyeLock’s nano iXT, nano EXT, or nano NXT iris scanning devices. Logical access control, in the form of regulating access to Windows devices, can be controlled via the portable myris device.
“Today’s release will allow our customers to utilize the same biometric record for physical access to a facility and logical access to computing devices inside the facility, thus providing a unified biometric identity management process for the enterprise,” explained EyeLock Engineering VP Dr. Michael Petrov.
The platform is compatible with a number of well-known access control systems, including Lenel OnGuard, Software House C•CURE 9000, and AMAG Symmetry Access Control, among others.
The upgrade comes after EyeLock enhanced its EIS platform with support for the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential formats in November, opening the door to more potential government deployments. In announcing this latest update, EyeLock CEO Jeff Carter gestured to further market opportunities that it could enable.
“Combining highly secure physical and logical access control in one easily deployed space will be a breakthrough with long-term benefits in a multitude of markets,” he said.
