Updated CoreID Credentialing System Features Biometric Facial Recognition

GET Group North America has released an updated version of its CoreID Identity Management System. CoreID was designed primarily as a government credentialing system, and makes it easier for an organization like a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue and monitor digital and physical credentials.

To that end, CoreID version 2.0 pairs biometric capture technology with a back-end database utility that ensures that the organization gathers the necessary information during enrollment. The platform primarily utilizes facial recognition, but it is compatible with other modalities like fingerprints.

Each customer’s biometric and personal information is stored on a self-contained data element referred to as a Dossier, which can be used to generate driver’s licenses, passports, and other credentials. The system greatly reduces the amount of time needed to issue a new credential, and can capture and print a new document in a matter of minutes.

CoreID 2.0 can be used with any operating system and is easy to integrate into an organization’s existing infrastructure. It can then be updated as identity technology continues to improve. The platform also comes with an Enrollment Workstation that can include a high-resolution camera, a document scanner, and other biometric capture tools.

GET Group North America will be showcasing CoreID 2.0 at the upcoming Connect:ID show in Washington, D.C. The company is currently a reseller of Speed Identity’s biometric capture solution.
