South Korea-based biometric solutions provider UNIONCOMMUNITY has announced that it will be participating at this year’s ISC West 2021, taking place in Las Vegas.
The company noted that it hopes to use this opportunity to accelerate its entry into the US security market, particulartly for its newly-developed contactless multimodal biometric access control systems using face and iris recognition, and featuring fever detection.
“As the status of [our] brand has risen along with the success of Korean-Quarantine, we expect it to be an important venue to promote our products based on our own Korean technology,” noted an official for UNIONCOMMUNITY. “Also, we expect to build a foothold to win large-scale security projects in the Americas based on the preceded sales that we have built for a long time with competitive technology and products, as a result we expect to increase our market share in the Americas and Europe in the future,” they added.
In a press release announcing its participation, UNIONCOMMUNITY revealed that it will be displaying and demoing a number of its solutions and flagship products at the show, such as its multimodal biometric access control and fever detection system, its ID solution platform, and its recent collaboration with Genetic Security System, ALPETA Sync, which allows current Genetec users to integrate UNIONCOMMUNITY’s multimodal biometric terminals into their existing security systems.
Additionally, its popular UBio series will be on display, including the UBio-X face and UBio-X Pro2 terminals, which can be used to authenticate faces, fingerprints, and various smart cards. The UBio series uses deep learning algorithms and features liveness detection to enable facial biometric authentication from up to three meters away. The solutions also allow users to register their phone numbers in a database to act as a credential for future visits.
Earlier this year, UNIONCOMMUNITY made headlines when it announced the world’s first biometric motorcycle anti-theft solution. Primarily targeting the Southeast Asian market, the new solution — tentatively named Ubio-S MPass — uses UNIONCOMMUNITY’s facial recognition tech in concert with its license plate recognition software to allow parking management to match a motorcycle to its owner by verifying their identity against the vehicles plates.
ISC West 2021 is taking place from July 19th to July 21st at the Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where UNIONCOMMUNITY can be found at Booth No. 7117.
