Digital security solutions company Uniken, Inc. has been recognized for its REL-ID security platform in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia market (MEASA) by Frost & Sullivan for being a user-friendly and mobile-first way for banks to connect to their omnichannel users.
REL-ID takes a unified depth approach in concert with mobile biometric authentication to eliminate the need for customers to provide personally identifiable information (PII), and in so doing helps to keep their login experience fast and secure.
“REL-ID helps clients combat identity, network, and device threats without compromising the user experience,” said Hiten Kamleshkumar Shah, Senior Research Analyst. “The solution is also highly cost-effective as it does away with the need for clients to deploy and integrate multiple solutions into their infrastructure to secure a wide range of channels, [and] it works across platforms and maintains a mobile-first approach, making it possible for companies to deliver a consistent access control and security experience across channels.”
The passwordless solution used by REL-ID relies on mobile biometrics, and uses a set of identity and device verification procedures that happen on the backend during each login instance — including machine learning AI to spot any previously undetected malware — to maximize security while ensuring a frictionless experience for the end user.
“Overall, Uniken’s efforts towards making REL-ID more secure and seamless have allowed its clients to future-proof their digital efforts and guided the industry towards a new era of user-focused banking processes,” said Shah.
In addition to its verification methods, REL-ID has built-in controls that verify the app in the user’s device has not been tampered with, and employs a man-in-the-middle-proof channel to ensure that transactions remain secured even on networks that are not. Geolocation and digital signatures are also used to create records of each individual approved transaction, for use in the case of any future discrepancies.
