TypingDNA has announced that its Authentication API is now compatible with Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) B2C platform. As a result, Azure AD B2C clients will now be able to deploy typing biometrics to provide an additional layer of passive security for their customers.
TypingDNA is the developer of a behavioral biometrics solution that identifies users based on their typing patterns when using a keyboard. The technology generates a trust score for each interaction, which can help thwart attacks even if a cybercriminal does manage to obtain someone’s username and password credentials. Since it operates in the background, the solution does not add any friction to the login and account creation process.
“We drive digital transformation by offering both seamless user experience and security,” said TypingDNA Chief Revenue Officer Tudor Goicea. “This collaboration extends to providing companies with innovative typing biometrics technology used for a range of authentication situations and various global compliance requirements.”
The European Banking Authority has listed typing biometrics as a valid form of multi-factor authentication, and the technology can be used to satisfy the PSD2 requirements for Strong Customer Authentication. TypingDNA, meanwhile, has offered a three-month free trial to schools that are looking to use the technology to ensure the integrity of their examinations.
