“…TypingDNA offers an effective solution for verifying students during online exam testing.”
To help facilitate remote testing for students during the COVID-19 pandemic, TypingDNA is offering free use of its behavioral biometrics authentication platform for three months, the company has announced.
The company’s technology is focused on the analysis of how end users type, using Artificial Intelligence to look for patterns that are unique to each user. TypingDNA says its solution can recognize a user based on text input of only 20 characters, meaning that for situations in which end users are doing considerably more typing – as in the case of online test-taking – it can do so even more reliably.
This means that TypingDNA offers an effective solution for verifying students during online exam testing.
In a statement, Typing DNA noted that school or university closures have been announced in at least 45 countries, affecting hundreds of millions of students. “To continue their courses, these schools and universities are transitioning from in-person to online courses—which also means IT resources might be scarce.” For that reason, TypingDNA says, it’s opening up its biometric API to schools for free over the next three months, supporting up to 8,000 end users per month. Interested organizations can apply for the support through TypingDNA’s website.
The announcement comes after TypingDNA announced that it had brought in $7 million in a Series A funding round in January, suggesting that it’s looking to fuel growth going forward at least in part through free trials such as those it’s now offering.
