Over two million travelers have signed up for the Transportation Security Administration’s TSA PreCheck program, MorphoTrust USA (Safran) has announced. MorphoTrust, via its IdentoGo centers, is TSA PreCheck’s exclusive enrollment services provider.
TSA PreCheck offers pre-screening services for travelers, enabling expedited security screening at participating airports. Travelers provide biographic and biometric data upon signing up at IdentoGo centers and other remote registration sites, and that data is later used to quickly and accurately authenticate passenger identities at the airport screening process.
MorphoTrust announced that its TSA PreCheck signups had passed the one million mark just last spring, and in the ensuing months it continued to open new registration centers, those facilities having grown in number from a little over 330 to more than 355. MorphoTrust has also extended IdentoGo hours in an effort to draw more registrants.
In a statement announcing the new milestone, MorphoTrust SVP Charles Carroll called the TSA PreCheck program “a true win-win with enhanced security for the entire air travel system and convenience for the traveling public,” adding that MorphoTrust will continue to work closely with the TSA “to help expand this program and make convenient, hassle-free travel a reality for millions more Americans.”
