IdentoGO is getting ready to open 14 temporary enrollment centers for TSA PreCheck, the biometric pre-screening program aimed at expediting passenger screening at airports. IdentoGO says the temporary facilities will be located close to major airports in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, and Seattle.
In a statement announcing the temporary enrollment centers, IdentoGO called the effort the ‘2016 TSA PreCheck Enrollment Tour’, and suggested it was intended to meet “increased demand for the popular program.” While TSA PreCheck reached the two million registrants’ mark this past January, it may be seeing even higher demand now as passenger wait times swell at America’s airports during the busy travel season, an issue that has prompted Delta Air Lines to promote its own CLEAR biometric passenger screening option.
With the new, temporary enrollment centers, IdentoGO says more than 15,000 additional enrollments will be facilitated. That should help to ease some of the pressure at airports around the country, and to further promote biometric screening to travelers.
