Brooklyn Nets, NY Islanders Fans to Get TSA PreCheck at Barclays Center

IDEMIA has teamed up with the Barclays Center to bring TSA PreCheck enrollment and expedited biometric screening to the sports venue.

Based in Brooklyn, the Barclays Center is home to the NHL’s New York Islanders and the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, and plays host to numerous other sports and arts events. As such, it presents an opportunity for IDEMIA’s IdentoGO enrollment service to promote TSA PreCheck to the public. Those who have already been pre-screened for the program will gain expedited access to the Barclays Center through a “fast pass” entrance, while IdentoGO will also get a dedicated retail location within the Barclays Center to enroll new members.

While the TSA PreCheck program was initially aimed primarily at providing biometric screening at airports, it has in recent months expanded to major sports venues. IDEMIA announced a promotional partnership with the New York Jets last October, and a partnership with the San Francisco 49ers was soon to follow.

In a statement announcing the Barclays Center partnership, IDEMIA Identity & Security Business CEO Ed Casey emphasized the enhancements in security and the fan experience that TSA PreCheck will bring to the venue, while Brett Yormark, the CEO of venue manager Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, agreed that “IdentoGO will further provide value to our fans that goes above and beyond the traditional event experience.”
