Trust Swiftly has launched a new identity verification platform designed to combat the rising threat of AI-powered fraud, backed by a $100,000 public bounty program to test its defenses. The “Trusted Supervised Remote ID Verification platform” introduces supervised verification methods specifically engineered to detect and prevent sophisticated fraud attempts, including deepfakes and synthetic identities.
Trust Swiftly is positioning its solution as a highly versatile IDV platform that supports a range of modalities, “including document verification (with support for thousands of global documents), biometric checks (facial recognition with liveness detection, fingerprint, and voice), and dynamic knowledge-based authentication,” as the company explained in a statement.
The launch comes amid growing industry concern over AI-driven fraud techniques. Recent months have seen major players like the London Stock Exchange Group partnering with specialized firms to address deepfake risks in financial verification processes.
The company’s public bounty challenge invites ethical hackers and AI experts to probe the platform for potential vulnerabilities, with $100,000 allocated for successful discoveries. This approach mirrors a growing industry trend of collaborative security testing, as other verification providers also work to strengthen their defenses against increasingly sophisticated AI attacks. FaceTec, for example, has long been a pioneer in this area with its own Spoof Bounty Program.
The platform’s launch follows recent developments in the identity verification sector, including significant investment in AI-powered fraud prevention startups, indicating growing market recognition of the challenges posed by synthetic identities and deepfake technologies.
