“Trust Stamp further burnishes authentication by employing facial recognition within its digital identity platform, scanning users’ faces after prompting them to upload selfie photos, and employing liveness detection in the process.”
Atlanta-based startup Trust Stamp has been selected to participate in Money20/20’s Startup Challenge.
The company’s eponymous platform is designed to enable consolidate identity verification, prompting users to link social media and online shopping accounts to their Trust Stamp identities in order to establish a ‘Trust Score’. Trust Stamp further burnishes authentication by employing facial recognition within its digital identity platform, scanning users’ faces after prompting them to upload selfie photos, and employing liveness detection in the process. The system also uses blockchain accounting based on the Ethereum ledger.
Having launched only last year, Trust Stamp has already raised more than $1.5 million in venture capital, and won the $50,000 grand prize in this year’s Technology Association of Georgia’s FinTech Innovation Award. Soon, the Money20/20 Startup Challenge will offer the company another opportunity to further heighten its profile.
As Trust Stamp CEO Andrew Gowasack remarked in a statement, “this opportunity is a reminder to never get comfortable!”
