TruNarrative will be outfitting Juni with secure and compliant onboarding technology. Juni is a Swedish banking startup focused on the entrepreneurial market, and is currently developing a banking and payments app that will help clients consolidate their e-commerce and digital marketing activities.
TruNarrative, meanwhile, is an identity verification specialist that will make it easier for Juni’s customers to trust other entities when doing business. In addition to onboarding and ongoing identity verification, the TruNarrative platform will check to see whether or not someone is on a list of Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), or whether they are facing any sanctions or adverse media. In doing so, it will help mitigate risk and make it easier for Juni users to trust other entities when doing business.
The TruNarrative solution monitors a company’s directors and any individual third parties associated with that organization. Implementing it will help Juni to comply with international data protection and Know Your Customer regulations. It will also generate an auditable record of events and provide users with a comprehensive case management system.
“It’s great to work with new and innovative businesses,” said TruNarrative Banking Head Edward Vaughan. “We look forward to helping Juni bring their services to market and providing their customers with a smooth onboarding experience.”
“Smooth onboarding and KYC processes are key to the customer experience for any digital banking platform,” added Juni Co-Founder and CEO Samir El-Sabini. “TruNarrative enables us to onboard customers in a friendly way.”
At the moment, Juni is in the pre-launch phase with 20 employees. When it debuts, it will provide customers with a Visa Platinum card that offers cash back for the money they spend on advertising, as well as invoice and bank statement matching and management features to give users more insight into their accounts.
The news comes shortly after TruNarrative launched a new identity verification platform designed primarily for small businesses. The company has provided screening technology for other financial institutions in the past, with Paragon Bank and ikigai standing as some of the most recent additions to its client roster.
