Trulioo is expanding its executive team. The Vancouver-based document and identity verification specialist has announced the appointment of Shradha Mittal as its new Senior Vice President of People & Culture.
Mittal comes to the company from a previous position with Framework Venture Partners. In a statement announcing her appointment, Trulioo explained that she “has extensive experience in people strategy and HR transformation, including talent acquisition, on-boarding, retention, re-recruiting, employment branding, performance management, and defining and maintaining culture.”
In her new Role, Mittal will be tasked with leading Trulioo’s HR efforts, including talent acquisition, employee retention, and fostering diversity.
“We are very excited to welcome Shradha to the team,” said Trulioo CEO Steve Munford. “She brings the right set of skills and experience to attract and retain top talent as we continue to build a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team across the globe.”
The appointment of a new HR head reflects the broader growth that Trulioo has experienced in recent years. In addition to sizing up its workforce from 130 employees in 2020 to 275 at the time of writing, Trulioo also brought former InAuth CEO Lisa Stanton onto its Board of Directors and became a tech unicorn with a $394 million Series D funding round that valued the company at $1.75 billion earlier this year.
Much of Trulioo’s success can be attributed to increasing demand for selfie-based identity verification solutions. Trulioo’s platform includes document verification and facial recognition technology that can match an end user to their official ID, thereby confirming identity remotely.
For her part, in commenting on her appointment Mittal highlighted Trulioo’s strong position in the identity verification market and its corporate culture. “I’m thrilled to join Trulioo, the market leader in identity verification, and look forward to contributing to the company’s impressive growth and important mission that aligns with my values,” she said.
