Thales has announced the launch of Passwordless 360°, a platform designed to provide comprehensive passwordless functionality across various user types and assurance levels, allowing companies to use the latest technologies like FIDO passkeys while leveraging existing investments in passwordless technologies.
Passwordless 360° aims to reduce the reliance on traditional passwords, addressing user frustration and security risks associated with password management. It includes tools for secure access to devices and web resources, as well as features like Passwordless Windows Logon, SafeNet FIDO Key Manager, and FIDO Authenticator Lifecycle Management, developed with Versasec, an identity management software company.
The FIDO Authenticator Lifecycle Management tool allows organizations to manage FIDO tokens efficiently, facilitating the transition to the modern FIDO standard on a large scale. It is meant to ensure that Passwordless 360° can support enterprises in adopting secure, passwordless authentication methods tailored to their specific needs.
Thales is well known in the authentication space. The France-based company offers a range of biometric authentication methods, including fingerprint, facial recognition, and iris scanning, among other passwordless authentication solutions. Its reputation is bolstered by a strong track record of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable identity and access management systems to organizations on a global scale, and by its recognition as an “Overall Product, Innovation and Market Leader” in KuppingerCole’s latest Leadership Compass on Passwordless Authentication for Consumers.
“Organizations in highly regulated industries and security-conscious organizations in both the public and private sectors that require strong authentication options should consider the OneWelcome Identity Platform,” commented KuppingerCole Research Analyst Alejandro Leal.
