Temenos has integrated HID Global’s risk-based authentication technology into its Temenos Infinity and Temenos T24 Transact banking platforms. The collaboration includes HID Global’s ActivID Authentication Platform, HID Approve, and the HID Authentication Service and Risk Management solutions.
Together, the various HID solutions will allow financial institutions to safeguard their digital channels with behavioral biometrics and risk analytics that uses AI to detect potentially fraudulent transactions. The arrangement will also make HID Global’s plug-and-play technology more readily available to thousands of potential customers through the extensive Temenos MarketPlace.
“The pre-configured integration makes it easier for Temenos customers to deploy authentication tools without any customized development,” said HID Global IAM VP and Managing Director Brad Jarvis.
“As more customers bank through digital channels, incidents of fraud increase, and the ramifications can be massive,” added Temenos Product Director Adam Gable. “With this integration, Temenos customers will benefit from reduced cost and complexity of integration, while gaining access to a greater variety in security options.”
Temenos Infinity and Temenos T24 Transact are available as cloud or on-premises solutions. The former is an administrative platform that lets users manage authentication credentials and creates an auditable record of user logins, while the latter will automatically synchronize user profiles when new accounts are created.
The Temenos MarketPlace, meanwhile, is an online store that provides financial institutions with a curated list of innovative FinTech solutions. HID Global was the top seller on the Temenos MarketPlace in 2018, a trend that seems likely to continue as the two companies solidify their relationship.
HID Global released the HID Authentication Service earlier this year, and added a new Credential Management Service a few months later. More recently, the company partnered with VMware to launch a new physical and digital access control platform that combines HID Global’s Mobile Access with VMware’s Workspace ONE network management tool.
