Tax Status, the provider of an eponymous digital IRS account monitoring platform, has deployed the full suite of authID’s Human Factor Authentication services.
The organization is using HFA to help its clients secure sensitive tax data through the use of FIDO2 passwordless authentication, and to enhance and strengthen the onboarding process via authID’s document and identity verification technologies. The platform also supports passkeys, the recently-launched authentication mechanism that essentially stores complex passwords on a user’s mobile device and locks them behind the device’s biometric authentication systems.
“Our next-gen Verified platform, which prioritizes ethical, consent-based biometrics, provides Tax Status and their clients with a comprehensive fraud prevention solution and ‘unphishable’ authentication that is more secure than legacy MFA,” explained authID CEO Tom Thimot.
Anti-fraud security is a particularly important matter for Tax Status. The company is a provider of official tax data and IRS account monitoring services, and is required to comply with the Internal Revenue Service’s taxpayer identity verification mandate.
For its part, CEO and founder Charles Almond attested that “authID’s innovative biometric authentication has proven to be a cut far above other identity management solutions,” adding, “We are proud to offer the most fortified fraud prevention and enterprise security technology on the market, without compromising on convenience and user experience.”
