TECH5 has consolidated its various biometric matching technologies into a single platform: the aptly named “T5-OmniMatch”. The solution encompasses a new, comprehensive software development kit called “T5-OmniMatch BioSDK”, as well as “T5-OmniMatch ABIS”, which combines the company’s previous matching platforms T5-MBAP and T5-ABIS.
Both solutions encompass TECH5’s face, fingerprint, and iris recognition technologies, and TECH5 says T5-OmniMatch is designed to be extended to support additional modalities as well. The solution includes biometric tools and platforms that can operate across an enterprise back-end or on a mobile device.
“We believe that merging high-performance dedicated verification and identification functionalities into one main platform will allow for greater ease of integration, deployment, and maintenance for our partners and customers,” explained TECH5 CTO and co-founder Rahul Parthe. “We also believe that this is the right move for TECH5 in terms of product development strategy.”
TECH5 is known for the high quality of its biometric tech. In testing with the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) toward the end of last year, TECH5’s iris recognition algorithm demonstrated the highest matching speed among all participating vendors; and its fingerprint matching technology proved both fastest and most accurate in NIST’s Proprietary Fingerprint Template (PFT) III program, which focuses on civil ID and border control applications.
The company’s announcement of its consolidated solution signals the company’s determination to continue leveraging that technological prowess into market success, with Sales and Business Development SVP Ameya Bhagwat noting in the solution’s announcement that TECH5 has ongoing deployments across various countries.
On that geographical note, TECH5 acquired the Dubai-based startup Uqudo at the end of 2022 in a strategic effort to target the Middle Eastern and African markets, and kickstarted 2023 with the acquisition of ImageWare, opening the door to further North American expansion.
