SureID Re-emerges from Corporate Shakeup

After a big corporate shakeup, SureID is looking to get back on track under new management.

The Oregon-based company, which offers identity authentication solutions to the enterprise and government markets, has seen a tumultuous few years after losing a US Navy contract that had been a key base of revenue. Hundreds of jobs were cut last year, and ultimately the firm was acquired by Sterling Talent Solutions at the end of 2017.

Now, SureID has announced that it has a new office and a new General Manager, Ned Hayes. A Stanford graduate, Hayes joined the company in July of this year, becoming a VP of Sterling Talent Solutions in the process. Previously, he held a position as a ‘Senior Solutions Owner’ with Intel, where he also acted as the Managing Director of the firm’s Graphics Performance Analysis Toolkit team. Before attaining these positions in 2016, Hayes was a Senior Product Management Lead for Intel for four years.

Commenting on his appointment in a statement, Hayes praised the expertise of the SureID team and the firm’s market position. “The SureID team has already deployed a market-leading fingerprinting network that covers over 800 nationwide locations,” he said, adding, “We are excited to re-establish SureID as a market leader in fingerprint technology and biometric validation.”

The company’s new office, meanwhile, is in Portland, having relocated from Hillsboro since the acquisition. The new office houses a staff of a little over 30 employees.
