Suprema is making a big splash at Intersec 2019. In the days before the conference, the security company announced that it would unveil a brand new facial recognition prototype that offers greater speed, accuracy, and convenience to enterprise-level customers. The prototype demonstration is exclusive to Intersec 2019, which runs from January 20-22 in Dubai.
“Our next-generation facial recognition terminal is designed to fulfill growing demand of touchless biometric technology in Middle East markets.” said Mohamed Elshenawy, the Sales Director at Suprema Middle East. “The new device offers improved versatility and lower cost in a compact form-factor.”
According to Elshenawy, the new facial recognition technology will move from prototype to product when it officially launches sometime in the middle of 2019.
The rest of Suprema’s Intersec 2019 lineup includes the BioStar 2 Device Manager App, the latest addition to its BioStar suite of smartphone-powered corporate security systems, as well as Suprema ID’s newest fingerprint scanner. First featured at Trustech 2018 in Cannes back in November, the new device is the slimmest scanner to meet the FBI’s MobileID FAP 30 specifications and was named the “Best Fingerprint Solution of the Year” by Security Award Korea in December.
