“Given its qualifications and its capability of scanning fingers right out of the box, the BioMini Slim 2S offers potential applications in large-scale government projects such as voter registration.”
Suprema ID is showcasing the latest edition of its BioMini Slim fingerprint reader at this year’s SDW Exhibition, an event focused on government and citizen identity solutions.
First unveiled at last autumn’s TRUSTECH industry expo in France, the BioMini Slim 2S is a compact, plug-and-play USB fingerprint reader with HID protocol support. It is FAP 20 and FBI PIV/FIPS 201 compliant, and features a 1.0GHz processor, a 500dpi optical sensor, and IP65 water and dust resistance.
Given its qualifications and its capability of scanning fingers right out of the box, the BioMini Slim 2S offers potential applications in large-scale government projects such as voter registration. In a statement announcing Suprema’s SDW 2018 presence, the company’s CEO, Bogun Park, emphasized that the device “is designed to provide the best reliable fingerprint authentication performance over dynamic environments such as outdoor and mobile situations.”
SDW 2018 kicked off at the QEII Centre in London on Monday, with Suprema ID showcasing from stand L79. The event concludes today.
