“The CoreStation access control solution was launched in conjunction with the BioEntry P2…”
Suprema has announced a new biometric access control solution aimed at larger enterprise organizations with centralized IT infrastructure.
Dubbed CoreStation, the door controller system is designed for use with Suprema’s BioStar 2 software platform. It can support up to half a million registered users in a single deployment, and up to 132 access points. It supports AES-256 encryption and TLS 1.2 communications, and is compatible with Wiegand and RS-485(OSDP) interfaces.
In a statement announcing CoreStation, Suprema Global Business Director Hanchul Kim explained that it’s “designed to fulfill the demand for biometric technology within more secure, larger-scale access control applications with a centralized topology.”
The CoreStation access control solution was launched in conjunction with the BioEntry P2, a device first announced earlier this year, which Suprema describes as “a dedicated slave fingerprint/RF reader” aimed at completing a client organization’s centralized biometric access control system.
