Suprema has announced the BioEntry P2, its newest flagship fingerprint-based access control solution.
Like its predecessor from last year, the BioEntry W2, the new device will be officially unveiled at the annual IFSEC security event. The fingerprint reader’s 1.0 GHz processor allows it to perform up to 10,000 matches per second, and it can store data on 10,000 users in its 8GB internal memory. Suprema says the device also supports most RFID card standards, including all HID multiCLASS standards.
In a statement announcing the new solution, Suprema asserted that its new fingerprint algorithm offers greater accuracy and lower a lower FRR than its predecessor. Suprema Global Business Director Hanchul Kim added that the device “spearheads our 2nd generation access control line-up,” alluding in part to the CoreStation biometric door controller solution announced by the company last week.
Suprema will showcase the solution from booth D1400 at IFSEC 2017, which runs from June 20th to 22nd in London.
