Biometric security specialist Suprema has once again been named one of the world’s top 50 security companies in A&S International’s Security 50 Ranking. This is the fifth consecutive year that Suprema has ranked on the list.
Not only that, but Suprema has been climbing; it now ranks 34th, up eight places from last year, when it ranked 42nd. Moreover, the company claims it’s the fastest-growing of those ranked for access control products, with 28 percent revenue growth year-on-year.
That growth is likely being helped along by a bigger boom in the market. In a report analysis, A&S International’s Jill Lai cites an IHS 2014 report indicating that the electronic access control market was valued at $3.5 billion last year, and is expected to grow to $4.9 billion by 2019. Given that Suprema is constantly upgrading its suite of offerings and adding new products to its lineup, its growth in this buoyant market it understandable.
Commenting on the A&S ranking, Suprema CEO James Lee asserted that with “market demand for security equipment reaching new heights”, Suprema continues to “strive for more security and safety,” and that “Suprema’s innovations and technology will play a big role in achieving such goal, and the phenomenal growth of our revenue is the proof that we are moving in the right direction.”
