SuperCom Lands New Caribbean Contract

SuperCom has landed a new customer in the Caribbean. The company did not disclose the identity of its partner, but did indicate that it would be using SuperCom’s PureSecurity Suite of electronic monitoring and people tracking products to make sure that any criminals who have been restricted to a certain location remain in that location.

The contract was signed following a pilot run that was first announced on July 10. The PureSecurity Suite offers fingerprint authentication, as well as voice communication, smart phone integrations, GPS tracking, and anti-tamper mechanisms.

“Our tracking products are flexible in adjusting to the diverse needs of our customer around the globe,” said SuperCom President and CEO Arie Trabelsi. “We feel this approach encourages greater cooperation from the offenders being monitored and incentivizes them to adhere to their release terms.”

The news builds on SuperCom’s strong performance in 2020. The company secured $3.2 million through a private placement in July, and provided PureSecurity to help an unnamed Canadian government agency keep tabs on its offender population.

SuperCom has also modified its PureHealth platform to support public health initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The technology allows officials to monitor patients to make sure they observe their quarantine requirements.
