“… StoneLock says it can be used to administrate not only physical access control systems but also enterprise resource planning systems…”
Biometric access control specialist has announced a new biometric identity management solution for the enterprise called StoneLock Gateway.
While StoneLock’s biometric solutions have hitherto revolved around near-infrared facial recognition, the new solution appears to be aimed at supporting a range of biometric identification and access control solutions. As StoneLock’s recently appointed Chief Technology Officer Jim Trani explained in a statement announcing the platform, “The notion of software as a service for biometric access control was unattainable without the development of an integrating component like StoneLock Gateway”.
The system can be managed from a PC or a mobile device, and StoneLock says it can be used to administrate not only physical access control systems but also enterprise resource planning systems, suggesting it offers time and attendance tracking applications as well.
StoneLock showcased the new solution at this week’s ASIS 2017 exhibition in Dallas, and says that it plans a further expansion of its solutions portfolio in 2018 with more biometrics-focused security offerings.
