Salzburg-based RegTech firm sproof has introduced sproof Ident, an API-first identity verification module designed to merge multiple verification methods—including Auto-Ident, Video-Ident, eID-Ident, and a Unified EUDI-Wallet Connector—into one configurable, brand-native platform. The new service allows enterprises to integrate digital identity verification under the forthcoming eIDAS 2.0 framework while remaining compliant with Europe’s anti-money-laundering directives AMLD6 and AMLR.
Sproof Ident enables companies to offer verification processes that are hosted entirely within the EU and can be customized to fit brand and compliance requirements. Its Unified EUDI-Wallet Connector provides a bridge between today’s remote-ID methods and tomorrow’s wallet-based credentials, letting organizations adopt an “EUDI-ready” setup ahead of full wallet deployment across member states.
CEO Dr. Clemens Brunner positions the launch as a sovereignty-focused alternative to non-EU vendors, emphasizing regional hosting, strict data-minimization, and alignment with evolving AML and eIDAS rules. The new module joins sproof’s existing portfolio of digital-signature and identity tools, including Sign, Fastlane, Widget, Validate, and eID-Hub.
By consolidating multiple verification “rails” behind a single orchestration layer, the platform can route users to the most appropriate flow—Auto-Ident for low-risk cases, Video-Ident or eID-Ident for higher assurance, and EUDI Wallet verification once available. All interactions are managed through a unified API and SDK, giving organizations full control over their user experience while ensuring compliance with qualified-level standards and GDPR-aligned data residency.
The launch arrives as European enterprises prepare for phased EUDI Wallet rollouts over the next two years and heightened AML requirements. Sproof’s approach reflects a growing market shift toward multi-rail identity orchestration, where businesses combine existing eID and remote-ID technologies with wallet-based credentials inside a single policy framework. By pairing its new identity module with its digital-signature infrastructure, the company aims to simplify regulatory review and keep contract signing and KYC processes within one EU-hosted environment.
