Shufti Pro will be looking to expand its clientele after entering into a new reseller arrangement with Open Systems Technologies International. The latter is an IT technology integrator and service provider based in the Bahamas, and it will be making Shufti Pro’s onboarding and fraud prevention technology available to its extensive customer network.
The news is expected to be particularly appealing to Open Systems customers in the financial sector. Shufti Pro’s solution is designed to streamline the onboarding process, using document recognition to verify the authenticity of an ID and facial recognition to match a selfie of the user to that physical document. The process can be carried out with a standard smartphone, and is compliant with the latest Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
The automated solution negates the need for manual document checks, and enables passwordless authentication for end users. In doing so, it also guards against various forms of fraud, including identity theft and account takeover attacks.
“We believe our partnership with Shufti Pro will provide a key benefit to the Financial Industry and businesses to enhance local and global KYC and AML screening,” said Open Systems President and CEO Peter Bridgewater.
“This partnership will help expand Shufti Pro’s reach into new territories and business segments, which aligns with our plans of securing global organizations from identity and financial fraud,” added Shufti Pro CEO Victor Fredung.
As it stands, Shufti Pro has already provided onboarding services for more than 500 businesses all over the world. The company recently entered into a separate strategic partnership with NetLync to make its technology more readily available to mobile network operators that use the NetLync UNITE platform. It also added NFC reading capabilities to its own portfolio and got its technology listed on the Salesforce AppExchange earlier in the year.
