SecuGen’s Unity 20 Joins MOSIP Marketplace as L1 Fingerprint Authentication Device

SecuGen’s Unity 20 MOSIP is now listed on the MOSIP Marketplace, giving the fingerprint vendor a visible product slot in the open-source identity ecosystem it has been targeting for national ID and large-scale authentication programs. The marketplace page describes the Unity 20 MOSIP as a MOSIP-compliant Level 1 fingerprint authentication device and attributes it to SecuGen Corporation.

The product description says the device is built to handle biometric capture, processing and cryptographic services, including digital signatures and encryption of biometric data. The listing also says it supports MOSIP SBI 2.0 interfaces for secure data transmission and includes a VaultIC408 Foundational Trust Module for secure key generation, storage and other device-level protections. It further says the product uses SecuGen’s U20-A fingerprint sensor, which the page describes as FBI-certified for image quality. The marketplace entry also includes product imagery and implementation details that procurement teams can review. It lists the unit as available now.

MOSIP-compatible hardware remains a live procurement and deployment category. SecuGen previously targeted MOSIP and Aadhaar L1 markets with a joint anti-spoofing fingerprint solution, while other suppliers have recently gained MOSIP partner accreditations as countries such as Zambia move ahead with MOSIP-based national ID rollout work. Authentication devices in this class are aimed at field and service-delivery environments where fingerprint capture has to be tied to secure signing, key storage and interoperable software interfaces.

The MOSIP Marketplace also says listed solutions are based on partner self-compliance and integration efforts, and that MOSIP does not endorse or guarantee the products shown there. The listing therefore shows marketplace presence and product claims rather than an independent certification result, while still giving buyers a clearer public reference point for SecuGen’s MOSIP-facing hardware claims.
