SecuGen to Showcase Unity BDP at CES 2016

SecuGen‘s new biometric development platform is going to be showcased at the next Consumer Electronics Show, the company has announced.

Called Unity BDP, the platform is designed to allow companies to easily integrate biometric capabilities to their own offerings. It’s an all-in-one development kit featuring a FAP 20 certified fingerprint sensor, a 1 GHz processor, and a Linux OS, with support for various expansion boards that could ultimately enable USB and Bluetooth connectivity, LED displays, and more.

In a sense, it’s the culmination of many years of work with biometric technologies, with SecuGen having developed highly advanced fingerprint readers that it has previously showcased at CES; but now, this expertise is being condensed into one comprehensive tool. In a statement, SecuGen marketing executive Jeff Brown called Unity BDP “a comprehensive set of tools that allow developers to create fingerprint enabled products quickly and efficiently.”

The company invites developers to see it for themselves at booth 21733 while CES 2016 is underway next month.
