SecuGen to Showcase Unity 20 Device at RSA Conference

SecuGen will showcase its Unity 20 fingerprint reader at the 2019 RSA Conference, the company has announced.

First announced ahead of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, the device is a Bluetooth-enabled fingerprint reader featuring a 1GHz processor and MINEX-compliant biometric algorithms. It’s based on the U20-ASF-BT sensor module, featuring the highly compact U20-A and enabling a small form factor that can be carried in a user’s pocket.

Its key feature, though — aside from its Bluetooth support — is perhaps its programmability. Developers can take advantage of SecuGen’s Fingerprint Management System API, or can program the device via a Linux development environment.

Appealing as those features may be, in a statement announcing SecuGen’s plans for RSA Conference 2019, SecuGen Sales and Marketing VP Jeff Brown emphasized its aesthetics. “Most of the existing Bluetooth products on the market are about as attractive as a deck of cards,” he said. “The Unity 20 Bluetooth reader, on the other hand, breaks the mold and is a stunning device with a slim, sleek white case, a single button and three small LEDs.”

Attendees of RSA Conference 2019 will be able to see it for themselves. The event runs from March 4th to 7th, with SecuGen to showcase from booth #4338.
