SecuGen to Unveil Ultra-Compact Programmable Fingerprint Module at CES

In addition to bringing back a couple of flagship solutions from a year ago, SecuGen has announced that it’s going to unveil an exciting new product at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Called the U10-SF, the device is a fingerprint sensor module aimed at OEMs and developers. SecuGen says it’s the world’s smallest programmable fingerprint module, barely bigger than the U10 sensor itself.

The solution is FIPS 201 PIV and FAP 10 certified, and SecuGen says it’s also NIST MINEX compliant. It features a 1GHz CPU with a programmable Linux operating system, and it is loaded with SecuGen’s Fingerprint Management System out of the box.

In a statement announcing the U10-SF, SecuGen Sales and Marketing VP Jeff Brown said it’s “the culmination of a multi-year development process,” adding later that the solution offers a “low price and astonishingly small size”.

The solution will be showcased at CES 2019 along with the U10 sensor that powers it, as well as the Hamster Pro 10 unveiled at this year’s CES in January. CES 2019 will run from January 8th to 11th, with SecuGen to showcase from booth 35232.
