“In its announcement, SecuGen highlighted other potential applications of the U10 sensor including access control devices and ATMs…”
SecuGen‘s latest fingerprint sensor solution has hit the market.
First announced at the start of the year, the Hamster Pro 10 is an FBI certified PIV and Mobile ID FAP 10 device. It features the new U10 fingerprint sensor, SuceGen’s smallest sensor yet at only 13mm thick, allowing for an extremely compact form factor; as SecuGen Engineering VP Dan Riley explained in a statement announcing the device’s release, “This new sensor is small enough to be embedded into a laptop or hand-held device” – an achievement Riley calls “a critical milestone” for the company.
In its announcement, SecuGen highlighted other potential applications of the U10 sensor including access control devices and ATMs, and asserted that the Hamster Pro 10, in addition to offering a diminutive form factor, is also “economically priced for large scale deployments.”
SecuGen will showcase both the U10 sensor and the Hamster Pro 10 at next week’s ISC West security conference. The event is slated to run from April 11th to 13th at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, with SecuGen slated to show off its solutions from booth #8131.
